Sarah Jessica Parker designs Carrie Bradshaw inspired bridal line
You do not have to be the fan of the popular series “Sex and the city” to know the main character, Carrie Bradshaw. If you do, then you know who are we talking about. The famous fashionista and journalist living and breathing in New York became a symbol of the trendy and fashionable New Yorker. Fearless in her fashion choices, she loved high fashion and was not afraid to show it on the NY streets. The actress who played the character was Sarah Jessica Parker. From the beginning of the show, Parker’s style started to evolve just continuously as Bradshaw’s did. For a very short time, Parker did indeed become a fashion icon, just as Bradshaw was. Since the ending of the series and the two movies that were recorded according to the series, Parker entered the fashion world as a designer of a show line. Those shoe designs were inspired by the Carrie Bradshaw’s shoe choices. Now, the actress is entering a new fashion challenge, and that also has a lot to do her most iconic character – Carrie Bradshaw.
Parker decided to collaborate with “Gilt” on a bridal line that mostly presents her vision of a modern and non-traditional bride. The designs of the gowns will be ready-to-wear and will be accompanied by 15 shoe styles from her personal SJP footwear line. Each gown will propose a suitable footwear addition, that will result in a head-to-toe option for all brides. The bridal collection will consist of 10 different styles. There will be an option for different outfits depending on the occasion – from bridal shower through wedding reception. Every bride will be able to choose from the modern styles that will be a mixture of classic dresses and gowns, trendy bodysuits, full and big skirts and even fashionable jumpsuits. The fits are sleek, chic, with clean lines. The color palate will vary in shades of the traditional white and black, and the nontraditional blush, light grey, poppy, and blue. To have even greater Bradshaw feeling, the designs were made out of fine cashmere and stretch crèpe, imported from Spain, Italy, and France. They have been delicately produced with precise and elegant bows, cutouts, embroidery, and feathers. This collaboration came out of Gilt’s acknowledgment of Parker’s style and unique view. Her taste of fashion and sensibility was what drove the brand towards her. As they stated, the customers will be very satisfied with the finals products. They will enjoy stylish bridal dresses for a reasonable price. They will be in the range from $295 to $2.395. As Parker stated herself, this collaboration will offer dresses and shoes that will not only be reserved for the wedding occasion but for many more life celebrations.
The final launch date is still unknown, but what is revealed is that the collection will available exclusively on Gilt.
